Whenever Chicago reeds player Ken Vandermark and Oslo drummer Paal Nilssen-Love get together, sparks fly! These two world-renownwed, creative souls have been playing together in various bands for a decade. After three albums and touring as a duo, they will perform for the first time in BC, providing us with some dual pleasure. Karmetic Underground - June 26 Sonically combining the east, the west, the above and the below, the Karmetik Underground is religiously infusing packed dance floors with live instrumental fusion. Karmetik cleverly creates an ethnically diverse musical tapestry, often incorporating traditional instruments from India with state of the art synthesizers, samplers, and sequencers. A sound influenced by Talvin Singh, Phish, Ravi Shankar, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fela Kuti, Thievery Corporation, The Chemical Brothers and Sound Tribe Sector Nine to name a few. |

Kostaman & The Vibrations are a highly energized 9 piece band from Whistler, B.C. that will keep you dancin to their infectuous positive vibes! Their unique music is a creative mix of Rock, Experimental, World-Beat and Reggae genres. Kostaman was Established in June 2004 and has performed over 800 shows within the last 4 years that have included performances on both local and international stages. Kostaman released their first EP ,'Setting Roots' Demo, in December 2005 and are working hard on the next professional recording project.The Band has been on three Western Canadian tours and were very excited to bring their special energy to new audiences. |
